Joy In The Galaxy by Melanie Chin

Melanie is a Fashion & Textiles Designer that is inspired by nature and has been interested in its reinterpretation into design. Melanie graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts in 2014 and has been working in Apparel Design industry for the past 4 years. Melanie’s shoe designs were her interpretation of the future. Coming from a love of the galaxy and the night sky, she used the concept of Day and Night in the colours, the light on the Ballet Flat to represent Day and the dark in the Court Heel to represent night. The Swarovski Crystals used were to represent Love and Joy and the smooth curves to represent Peace. Hopefully our future as humans will be harmonious as we slowly discover more of the world beyond earth.
